8 Celebrities Who Need a Scandal Already

Have you ever noticed that it's always the same celebrities in the news over and over again? People like Lindsay Lohan, Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, and all of the Real Housewives are always making headlines for one scandal or another. And those celebrities who we really want to see on magazine covers are hidden from sight.

Are these folks really so well-behaved or are they just able to keep transgressions under wraps? We'll never know. Here are eight celebrities who should take a cue from their Hollywood cohorts and engage in a little bit of scandalous behavior. Really, it's the least they can do to entertain us.

Jennifer Garner has such a squeaky clean image. Wouldn't it be great to see her let loose a little? Surely husband Ben Affleck and his best friend Matt Damon could give her a lesson in attracting attention.

taylor lautner

Unless he's promoting a movie, Twilight hottie Taylor Lautner is so rarely in the news -- that's likely because his co-stars Kirsten Stewart and Robert Pattinson are too busy hogging the spotlight (admittedly through no fault of their own).

alexander skarsgard

Most True Blood fans would agree that we'd like to see more more more more of Alexander Skarsgard in the tabloids. And now that all the excitement surrounding Anna Paquin's and Stephen Moyer's nuptials is over, the time is ripe for him to act out!

jon hamm

Mad Men star January Jones makes headlines now and then for her late-night romantic rendezvous; but rarely do we hear a peep from Jon Hamm. Can that be remedied?

chris colfer

Note to the gossip rags: When it comes to Glee coverage, less Lea Michele and more Chris Colfer!

johnny depp

Remember when Johnny Depp used to be in every magazine for his bad boy antics? Now he's just boring and usually M.I.A.

heidi klum

You have to tune in to Project Runway each week; otherwise, Heidi Klum is but a figment of our imagination. You won't see this good girl going all Gisele on us (thank god).

blake lively

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively needs to take a cue from co-star Taylor Momsen and get in the press any chance she gets.(thestir.cafemom.com)

crime wave

Adelaide in fear of violent crime wav. -heraldsun.com.au/news-Chief-Insp Osborn said he understood community concern but most offenders were arrested quickly.

"We acknowledge these are very significant crimes and the community is concerned but these are isolated incidents," he said.

Chief-Supt Osborn said police numbers on patrol and information gathering was "not an issue".

The violent crimes in the in past five weeks include:

CALLINGTON woman Pirjo Kemppainen, 63, who was beaten and stabbed to death. Two boys, 14, have been charged with her murder.

ARMED robber Paul James Quinn, who was killed at Forestville in a shootout with STAR Group police officers.

A GUNMAN'S attempt to shoot New Boys gang boss Vince Focarelli in a shopping mall.

A YOUTH, 17, who was partially paralysed when shot twice in his neck in Hindley St. A woman, 45, a man, 41, and the youth, 17, are charged with attempted murder.

MORE than 100 African men, who were involved in a city brawl in which four people were stabbed. Four men face charges.
The murder of pensioner Beverly Hanley, 64, on Wednesday is the latest to shock the community and Major Crime detectives are searching for her killer.

It's one of eight violent incidents in just five weeks which have alarmed police.

However, Chief Superintendent Tom Osborn said the chances of being a victim of violence was "really very slight" despite the public thinking otherwise. On Monday, an AdelaideNow poll showed 78 per cent of 403 respondents did not feel safe in the city after dark.

Victims of Crime Commissioner Michael O'Connell said statistics often hid the human impact.

"The critical issue is with each crime a person is hurt physically, psychologically or emotionally and that's often hidden in the debate on statistics," he said. The latest statistics show attacks against people have fallen 2.9 per cent in the past financial year.

abortion is a crime

Call to remove abortion from Crimes Act . A major welfare group has called on the NSW government to decriminalise abortion to ensure women and doctors can't be prosecuted.

Alison Peter, director of the NSW Council of Social Service, is urging the state to follow the lead of the ACT and Victoria and remove abortion from the Crimes Act.

The Act states that anyone who unlawfully commits an act with the intention of procuring a miscarriage is liable to 10 years imprisonment.

"Abortion continues to be a crime under the NSW Crimes Act and women who undergo an abortion and their doctors are potentially at risk of prosecution," Ms Peter said in a statement on Friday.

The last time a doctor in NSW was convicted for carrying out an illegal abortion was in 2006.

Ms Peters countered claims that legalising abortion would increase the number of medical procedures carried out.

"There is no evidence to support this," she said.

"For six months prior to and after the removal of abortion from the Victorian Crimes Act, the number of abortions claimed under Medicare in Victoria and Tasmania increased by less than one per cent."

The NSW Greens have been campaigning for the decriminalisation of abortion this year, citing a poll which found broad support for such a move.

Published in the Medical Journal of Australia, the poll indicated a clear majority of Australians believe abortion should be lawful without question in a woman's first trimester, or lawful depending on her circumstances in the second trimester.

Earlier this year, the NSW government said the existing legislation allowed for legal abortion under certain circumstances, and adequately protected women and health professionals By:.-news.smh.com.au-
